Taylor's University College Organises 12th MFA Conference 2010
The 12th MFA Conference 2010 is a platform where both academics and industrialists come together to discuss the relevant issues, exchange ideas and promote better understanding of finance-related topics pertinent to the conference theme.
The NAPEI 29th Malaysian Education Fair was held at PWTC, KL on 5 and 6 June 2010 (Saturday and Sunday). Admission was free. Visitors was treated to more than 70 exhibitors taking up more than 120 booths to showcase their courses (internal awarded programmes and collaborative programmes with overseas universities) and provide professional counseling services. The fair aims to benefit students who are looking for higher education options as well as parents who want to find out more about pre-tertiary education for their children.
In support of the government's vision of producing 60,000 Malaysians with PhD qualifications by 2020, Taylor's University College (TUC) recently launched its PhD Fellowship Award on 8 April 2020 for outstanding scholars who are pursuing a PhD degree in Engineering, Science or Hospitality & Tourism at TUC.

The Launching Ceremony of the Polytechnic Transformation Plan
On 25 February 2010, the launching ceremony of the Polytechnic Transformation Plan was held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre. The ceremony was launched by Tan Sri Muhyiddin Bin Haji Mohd Yassin, Deputy Prime Minister. Also present at the launch were Higher Education Minister, Dato Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin; and Deputy Higher Education Ministers Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah and Dr Hou Kok Chung.
StudyMalaysia Education Fair 2010 (East Malaysia) was successful concluded. Thousands of SPM school leavers and their parents have benefitted from these fairs held at Kota Kinabalu (from 6th to 7th March) & Kuching (from 13th to 14th March).
KDU College Launched Its New Campus KDU Section 13
The Section 13 Campus is dedicated to KDUs School of Arts and Social Sciences, which houses the Business and Law Departments, as well as the Center of American Education. The new campus serve with the new facilities such as library, classrooms, tutorial rooms and lecture halls with audio-visual & LCD facilities, cafeteria, computer labs, and moot court. Furthermore, the campus is Wi-Fi enabled and its planning to include a multipurpose hall with sports facility which includes futsal.

MAHSA University College held its second convocation on 21 November 2009 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre where 1,335 graduates from the faculties of nursing, pharmacy, allied health sciences and dentistry received their scrolls.
Institut Mayang held its graduation ceremony on 21 November 2009 to award more than 350 graduands their scrolls. The students graduated from courses such as the advanced diploma, child development and family studies, teaching and training of students and adults, learning management and teaching practicum, learning outcomes and professional development, and a pre-school management foundation course.
MQA: Roundtable Meeting of Quality Assurance Agencies of OIC-Member Countries
The ROUNDTABLE MEETING OF QUALITY ASSURANCE AGENCIES OF OIC-MEMBER COUNTRIES was held from 13-15 November 2009 in Kuala Lumpur with the theme: The State of Quality Assurance in Higher Education in OIC Member Countries: Information Sharing Towards Capacity Building Initiatives.
KBU engineering graduates awarded degrees by Sheffield Hallam University
The achievements of 74 engineering graduates from KBU International College were recognized at Sheffield Hallam University Malaysia Graduation Ceremony, held on 25 October 2009, at the Ruby Ballroom, One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The ceremony was the first being organized by Sheffield Hallam University for KBU students who studied in the universitys programme, conducted at KBU under the 3+0 study mode.

PECIPTA 2009, the International Exposition of Research and Invention of Institutions of Higher Learning was officially launched on 8 October 2009 by Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Also present at the event was Dato Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, Minister of Higher Education; Datuk Dr Zulkefli A. Hassan, Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education; and Prof Dato Ir Dr Radin Umar Radin Sohadi, Director General of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education.

International Student Carnival 2009 - Sports Festival
Date: 15 19 June 2009 Venue: Sports Field, Sunway University College
The Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, together with Sunway University College, organised and co-hosted the International Student Carnival 2009 Sports Festival. This year, there were over 1,600 international students from 56 institutions of higher learning. They represented both the private and public sectors even as far as Perlis, Johor and Sabah and students from about 60 countries participated in this event.
The launch of Just English language centre on 16 May 2009 at Highlands International Boarding Schools (HIBS) is a purpose-built English language centre. The centre is called JEC@Highlands and is managed by Just English Sdn Bhd.
The Just English Centre specializes in providing English as a Second Language to students who need English in academic study.

The Ministry of Higher Education held a career and entrepreneur fair (Karnival Kerjaya & Keusahawanan Graduan 2009) for graduates from 15-17 May 2009 involving 600 small and medium sized private companies and government agencies which offered some 10,200 jobs.
The fair aimed at providing information on job opportunities for graduates, enable graduates to obtain a job which suits their qualifications, and provide counselling services and career advice. Among the activities held were interviews, career talks, and entrepreneurial workshops.

Founding and First Annual General Meeting of Kirkby College Malaysia Alumni Association
The establishment of the Kirkby college alumni and its inaugural AGM were held at the Dewan Seri Baiduri, Intan Bukit Kiara on the 8 June 2009.
The guest of honour was YAB Tan Sri Muhyiddin bin Haji Mohd Yassin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education who officiated the event. This was followed by the launching of a book entitled Kirkby: The Life and Loves by Dr Shaari Isa (Kirkby 1953-55). The honourable deputy prime minister also officiated the Kirkby College Exhibition organised by the Educational Museum of the Sultan Idris University of Education, Tg. Malim. A tour of the exhibition and a photography session with the alumni were held after that.
