BERJAYA University College of Hospitality
(BERJAYA UCH) received its licence to operate
as an institution of higher learning on 14 November 2008. BERJAYA UCH is an award-winning premier university college offering programmes related to Hospitality, Tourism and Services Management from foundation to postgraduate levels.
These programmes are offered under four (4)
Schools, which are the School of Culinary Arts,
School of Hospitality Management, School of Tourism, Arts and Culture Management, and School
of Business & Management. The University
Foundation Programme is offered to post secondary school leavers as an entry qualifier to
the undergraduate programmes.
BERJAYA UCH's cosmopolitan city campus is situated within the golden triangle in Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur. Students will benefit from the integrated learning experience gained from the Hospitality, Tourism and Service-related businesses within and surrounding the city campus. The city campus, totaling approximately 100,000 square feet, is located on the 11th floor West which consists mainly the administrative offices and learning areas; and the 14th floor East which comprises the culinary
and restaurant facilities for the School of Culinary
Arts.

of the Hospitality, Tourism, Culinary and Services

BERJAYA UCH has established other strategic
partnerships with established institutions of higher
learning for articulation, joint research and
training, staff and student exchanges,preparation
of joint proposals for external funding for research
and development, joint sponsorship of conferences
and publications and other areas of mutual
cooperation.
Our academic curriculum, both academic and career
focused, and our teaching-learning approach
namely the BERJAYA Immersion methodology,
based on the 'Learning by Doing' principle, allows
students to think critically, communicate effectively,
work productively and manage professionally right
from the day they start with us.
BERJAYA UCH is the first and only academic
institution in Asia Pacific to offer the 560 hour
World Association of Chefs Society (WACS) Global
Master Chef training programme which is
accredited by the WACS Global Master Chef
Committee.
BERJAYA UCH's School of Culinary Arts (SCA) headed
by WACS Global Master Chef Jochen Kern is the first
higher learning institute in Malaysia to receive the
"World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS)
Recognition of Quality Culinary Education".
BERJAYA UCH was honoured with the Hospitality
Asia Platinum Awards (HAPA) for Hospitality
Education Excellence and Brand Laureate Award
for Best Brand in Tourism, Hospitality, Culinary and
Retail Management Education.
Through the connectivity between BERJAYA UCH
and its industry partners, students will gain a wide
variety of work placement opportunities that are
available ranging from hotels, catering, and

Student Development Activities
To ensure that students enjoy a supportive environment at BERJAYA University College of Hospitality, the Department of Student Services (DoSS) is committed to providing student-friendly support services delivered directly or in
collaboration with our associate partners. The department provides support in the following

To enhance students' leadership and management skills, students are encouraged to join the various student leadership bodies' activities such as :
BERJAYA UCH Student Council
A committee made up of fun, energetic and resourceful students who take on additional roles
and responsibilities in representing their
programmes as leaders.
BERJAYA UCH Sports Council
A committee consisting of sports-loving students
assists the DoSS in planning and organizing sports activities at the University College.
BERJAYA UCH International Student Association
A committee made up of selected international students that organise activities throughout the
year. All international students are invited to participate in the activities.
Scholarships & Financial Aid
BERJAYA University College of Hospitality strongly believes that education is the driving force that
will make the world a better place and it holds
a steadfast commitment of educating a new generation of global professionals and leaders for the hospitality, tourism and services industry.
Various scholarships are offered to the prospective and current students such as :
Tan Sri Vincent Tan Entrance Scholarship
Scholarship awards offered at BERJAYA University
College of Hospitality serve as recognition of
academic merit and achievement. The Tan Sri
Vincent Tan Entrance Scholarship seeks to award
its scholarship funds to meritorious recipients and is open to first-year students enrolled in a full-time programme of study at BERJAYA University College
of Hospitality. The Tan Sri Vincent Tan Entrance
Scholarship is awarded as tuition fee waivers.
Roasters Scholarship Programme
The ROASTERS Scholarship is the first scholarship programme generously funded by Kenny Rogers ROASTERS to provide deserving students with the
benefits of financial aid and career progression with Berjaya ROASTERS (M) Sdn Bhd upon completion of the Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management (Honours) programme.
