Established in 2009, the Putra Brand Awards is a brand valuation award measured by consumer preferences. The annual awards is organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) and endorsed by the Malaysian External Trade Development Corp (MATRADE). The 2013 Putra Brand Awards winners were chosen via an online survey by 6,000 respondents nationwide making it the largest and most prestigious consumer award.

The process of determining Malaysia’s Top brands require an evaluation based on a stringent set of criteria, which include international brand expression, innovative range of products, branding and product development, business size, ADEX track record for the past year and competitive strength in the industry. The survey, conducted at the end of 2012, also considered consumers’ perception on brand engagement, relevance and accessibility.
