March 4, 2014 | Campus News

In conjunction with the Chinese New Year, TAR UC Chinese Language Society will be organizing a Chinese New Year Night themed “The Clown” which emphasizes on the importance of seeing things beyond the surface with wider perspectives and empathy. This event will be held on 16 March 2014, from 6.00pm to 10.00pm at College Hall of TAR UC.

This Night is the biggest annual event of Chinese Language Society. Over the years, it has become one of the signature events of the society due to its good responses and positive reviews received from students, staff as well as the public.

The main programme of this night will be a drama performance by TAR UC students. This drama performance is directed by Mr Milo Low Kah Weng, an experienced and award winning theatre artist from TEAM Theatre Education Academy, assisted by Mr Noah Yap Kok Boon who is also a theatre artist and drama instructor.

With full support from the University College and sponsorship from IRS Software Sdn Bhd, this Chinese New Year Night will be one of the biggest cultural programmes held in TAR UC. This event is expected to attract about 2000 audiences from TAR UC students, alumni, students from other education institutions, secondary schools and members of the public. The ticket pricing (donation) for this event is RM8.
