One Art Club of The One Academy of Communication Design’s Illustration Department is delighted to present “Fictionary - an exhibition of fiction and visionary art” by a group of young leading Malaysian concept artists. This exhibition intends to promote the art of imagination and provide an annual exhibition for both seasoned and emerging artists alike.

Fictionary is part of the series of upcoming event initiated by One Art Club. There have been many names that art of the Sci-Fi and Fantasy genre were named after, such as Fantastic Realism, Visionary Art, Art of Imagination and so on. Fictionary is derived from the idea of the imaginative Fiction world and the Visionary of a working artist. 

Fictionary Art Exhibition will be held at The One Gallery, a non-commercial gallery run by The One Academy of Communication Design. It has been organizing different themed exhibitions several times a year to foster a productive & creative learning environment for students.

Besides showcasing students’ masterpieces from various disciplines, The One Gallery also holds a variety of events to offer students wider exposures to the creative industry. Some of the highly acclaimed exhibition it has organized in the past years included “Art in Video Games - Ubisoft Singapore Art Exhibit”, “Swiss Design in Hollywood World Tour & Exhibition” , “The Art Germ of Artgerm - Digital Art Exhibition of Stanley Lau”, “Benjamin (Zhang Bin) Comic Art Exhibition” and many more. 

This exhibition showcases 40 masterpieces by an assorted range of professional and emerging Malaysian concept artists such as Tham Hoi Mun, Jarold Sng, Jeremy Chong, Ivan Tao, Johnson Ting, Wenjuinn Png, Rayden Chen, Puppeteer Lee (Lee Chak Khuen),  John Liew and features Thai talent Skan Srisuwan. These artists have been known for their excellence both in their career and personal works, and have worked on many projects from commercials, to games, films and animations.
