Bursaries for students who scored 9A+ or more in SPM

PETALING JAYA: All students who scored 9A+ and above in the 2014 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) will receive bursaries from the Education Ministry.

This bursary will cover the students’ pre-university studies locally before continuing with their first degree either locally or overseas.

The pre-university studies being offered are the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), Matriculation, Foundation, A-Levels and International Baccalaureate (IB).

The Education Ministry said in a statement that the bursary was automatically offered to all students who scored 9A+ in last year’s SPM irrespective of ethnicity, race and family background and covers academic fees, cost of living and accommodation allowances.

Students obtained their SPM results on Tuesday.

Students can check their offers through the Education Ministry’s Bursary Online Application System at www.moe.gov.my until June 30.
