The TARCian Run 2015 is a mini marathon aimed to raise fund for the TARC Education Foundation for the construction of the Student Centre in TAR University College Kuala Lumpur Main Campus. For your information, TARC Education Foundation is the financial lifeline for the infrastructural development of TAR University College so that the institution can continue to provide quality and affordable education to all Malaysians.

In today’s challenging and highly competitive job market, there is greater demand on the graduates to have excellent leadership, innovative and critical thinking as well as soft skills. Currently, student activities are carried out at different places in the campus grounds which is inconducive for learning and nurturing the said important skills. Hence, back in 2010, the idea of building a Student Centre was mooted with the purpose of building these essential skills so that TAR University College would be able to produce highly employable graduates to lead Malaysia towards becoming a developed country. The Student Centre will be the hub of student activities, housing vital facilities to cater to the recreation and developmental needs of the students and to encourage active student participation in extracurricular activities.

With the Student Centre, it will complement and enhance the learning experience in TAR University College, creating a nurturing environment to mould future leaders for the country. In order for the Student Centre to be successfully constructed, it will need a capital outlay of RM30 million. Therefore, the TARCian Run 2015 is organised to raise fund towards the TARC Education Foundation to fund the construction of the Student Centre.

The TARCian Run 2015 will chart the route with 11km and 8km distances starting and ending at TAR University College Kuala Lumpur Main Campus in Setapak. The Run will have 6 categories, namely 11 km - Men & Women, 8km - Men & Women and 8km Veteran - Men & Women. It is open to all students, ex-students, staff & family members of TAR University College, as well as the Malaysian public.

The event has received great support from sponsors, among which MCT Consortium Berhad is the Platinum Sponsor whereas AJIYA Berhad and EBARA Pumps Malaysia Berhad are the two Gold Sponsors. Bonia Corporation, B & G Concept Engineering Sdn Bhd, Nelson’s Franchise (M) Sdn Bhd and NEP Holdings Berhad are the 4 Silver Sponsors while Paragon Vest Sdn Bhd, Permanis Sandilands Sdn Bhd, Top Glove Foundation, ALL ICT Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd, EITA Resources Berhad, Regal Marketing & Trading Sdn Bhd and Guinness Anchor Berhad are the 7 Co-sponsors of the event.
