High hopes for exams

October 15, 2015 | National News

A TOTAL of 23,927 candidates are sitting for the Pentaksiran Tingkatan 3 (PT3) in 136 centres throughout Penang.

State Education Department director Shaari Osman said 23,606 students are from 125 government schools while 319 others from nine private schools.

In SMJK Jit Sin Bukit Mertajam, the Form Three students were seen doing last minute revisions before they entered the examination hall for the first paper — the Bahasa Malaysia.

Koh Shi Hui said she looked forward to doing well in the exam.

“My parents have been very supportive and I’ve been attending tuition four days a week.

“I’m happy to complete the Bahasa Malaysia paper because it is my weakest subject,” she said during break time yesterday.
