First City UC Bursary Awards for Outstanding Students

Petaling Jaya, 16th of November 2017: It was a meaningful moment for the recipients as First City UC management presented 31 scholarships during the institution’s 6th Bursary Awards ceremony held at First City UC recently since the Bursary Awards was initiated in 2015 for its first cohort of 15 recipients, the numbers have doubled in 2017.

The ceremony was graced by the presence from First City UC top management the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Mak Chai and Chief Operating Officer, Ms Yeong Yin Cheng including key staff.

The Awards were presented by Professor Dr Mak Chai. Recipients comprise Malaysian students as well as from Indonesia and Sudan. These exceptional students have undergone studies in First City UC for a year and are eligible to pursue their second year of diploma or degree programmes respectively. Students who proved themselves commendable were assessed based on academic performance and were required to attend an interview before qualifying for the scholarship. The Bursary Awards appreciation is offered in the months of March and September each year.

First City UC is committed to providing financial assistance to exceptional students and offers various types of scholarships those including the Founder's Scholarship - Teo Soo Cheng Foundation, Merit Scholarship, Sports Scholarship, UEC Scholarship, Student Leader & Top Office Bearer Scholarship, Sibling Incentive, and Alumni Incentive. Students can apply for these scholarships based on their SPM/O-levels, STPM/ A-level, or UEC results.

For more information about the various programmes, scholarships and incentives offered at First City UC, students are welcome to visit us on campus.
