ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR DR DEBBIE GAN RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS RECOGNITION FOR HER PROFESSIONAL DESIGN PRACTICE

Associate Professor Dr. Debbie Gan, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Design and Built Environment, radiated with pride as she received the esteemed recognition of Certified Industrial Designer (CiDe) from the Majlis Rekabentuk Malaysia (Malaysia Design Council).

The CiDe award, a symbol of excellence in the field of industrial design, was presented during an exclusive ceremony on 28 February 2024. The event was graced by the presence of YBhg Dato’ Hairil Yahri Yaacob, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MITI).

Dr. Debbie has attained the prestigious CiDe status, meeting rigorous qualifications that demand extensive practical experience in industrial design. Her portfolio highlights a series of commercially successful designs, showcasing her significant contributions to the field. As a CiDe, she adheres to the highest design practice standards, serving as an ambassador for the design profession.

With this recognition, Dr. Debbie stands as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring designers, especially students of the Faculty of Design and Built Environment at First City University College.
