A premier University College in the region, i-CATS UC is the destination of choice for Malaysian and international students who seek qualifications that will prepare them for promising and progressive career.
i-CATS, provide many opportunities for students to earn state of the art, industry-relevant qualifications at the foundation, diploma, and bachelor’s degree level(s). The programmes offered span a wide range of disciplines, e.g., Accounting and Business, Agrotechnology, Engineering, Hospitality and Tourism, Plantation Management, and Software Engineering.
Our philosophy of teaching and learning is based on the Learning Sciences approach to produce agile and future-ready graduates. We humanized student’s learning experience by focussing on the individual learner, transforming him/her to a better individual and excel in the working world.
Under the leadership of our Chancellor, the Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Haji Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Haji Abang Openg, Premier of Sarawak, we have implemented various initiatives to contribute to the vibrant canvas of human capital development in line with our quest to be a full-fledged university status by 2026.
We engaged renowned Professors to provide our students with quality education and strengthen our research and publication capabilities. Based on the market demands, we are developing graduate programmes, including Master’s and Doctorate, to support Sarawak’s key economic sectors. With the increasing importance of the digital and hydrogen economies, we are also transforming our curricula to ensure that our students are equipped with the relevant knowledge and competencies to thrive in a vibrant global economy.
