The MAHSA Blue Ribbon Scholarship provides recipients with the following benefits:

Tuition Waiver

Up to 100% tuition assistance for your current level of study.

Priority Accomodation

Grants priority access to MAHSA's on-campus accommodation by reservation one (1) month prior to check in.

Mentorship Opportunities

Connects recipients with experienced mentors for academic and personal guidance.

To be eligible for the MAHSA Blue Ribbon Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Haji Abdullah's Elite Scholars (HABES) Program

The Haji Abdullah's Elite Scholars Program offers a range of benefits to support academic and personal development:

To be considered for Haji Abdullah's Elite Scholars Program, applicants must:

To be considered for the GREI Fund, applicants must:

  • Academic Excellence: Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, maintaining a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or higher for Masters by Coursework, and good recommendation from the Dean for Masters by Research.
  • Research Potential: Exhibit a strong aptitude for research and a clear interest in pursuing a research-oriented postgraduate degree.
  • Work Commitment: Possess a strong work ethic, time management skills, and the ability to balance academic responsibilities with work-based placements.
  • Leadership Potential: Demonstrate leadership potential and a willingness to contribute positively to the MAHSA University community.

Athletic Excellence Award (AEA)

The Athletic Excellence Award provides recipients with benefits to support academic and athletic endeavors:

  • Tuition Fee Waiver: A 10% waiver for inter-university, 30% for state level, and 50% for national level, subject to approval by the selection committee.
  • Athletic Gear and Equipment Support: Provision of sports gear, equipment, and training facilities for enhanced athletic performance.
  • Sports Travel and Tournament Expenses: Financial assistance to cover travel costs, accommodation, and related expenses for sports competitions.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Access to experienced coaches and mentors for personalized guidance on academic and athletic development.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the Athletic Excellence Award, applicants must:

  • Academic Excellence: Maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.0 or higher throughout their studies at MAHSA University.
  • Athletic Achievement: Demonstrate a consistent record of exceptional athletic performance at the inter-university, national, or state level.
  • Sports Participation: Actively participate in inter-university, national, or state-level sports competitions as an ambassador of MAHSA University.
  • Leadership Potential: Exhibit leadership qualities and a willingness to contribute positively to the MAHSA University sports community.

School Teachers Scholarship

  • Tuition Fee Waiver: RM4,000, subject to approval by the selection committee.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Access to mentorship and guidance from experienced educators.
  • Free Micro-Credential for Parent: One session.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the School Teachers Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Parent or Spouse Employment: The applicant's parent or spouse must be a currently employed schoolteacher in Malaysia.
  • Academic Qualification: Have a minimum of five (5) credits of SPM or a CGPA of 3.0 or higher upon entry into MAHSA University.

Family Scholarship

  • Tuition Fee Waiver: RM4,000, subject to approval by the selection committee.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Access to mentorship and guidance from experienced MAHSA faculty and staff.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the Family Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Family Connection: The applicant must be a parent, child, or sibling of a current MAHSA student or alumni.
  • Academic Qualification: Have a minimum of five (5) credits of SPM or a CGPA of 3.0 or higher upon entry into MAHSA University.

Single Parent Scholarship

  • Tuition Fee Waiver: Up to RM4,000, subject to approval by the selection committee.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Access to mentorship and guidance from experienced counselors and social workers.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the Single Parent Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Citizenship and Residency: Be a Malaysian citizen and reside with a single parent.
  • Academic Qualification: Have a minimum of five (5) credits of SPM (or equivalent) or a CGPA of 3.0 or higher upon entry into MAHSA University.
  • Financial Need: Demonstrate financial need and provide supporting documentation.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for a Diversity Scholarship, applicants must meet the following general criteria:

  • Academic Excellence: Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
  • Underrepresented Group: Demonstrate membership in an underrepresented group, such as but not limited to:
    • Racial or ethnic minorities (e.g., Orang Asli)
    • Women in STEM fields
    • Individuals with disabilities
    • First-generation college students
    • Veterans and their dependent (1)

Staff Enhancement & Educational Development (SEED) Fund

The SEED Fund provides financial assistance to eligible staff members through tuition fee waivers, expense reimbursement, and grants. The amount of funding awarded depends on the type of educational or professional development activity undertaken.

Application Process

Interested staff members can apply for the SEED Fund by submitting a completed application form with supporting documents, including transcripts, certificates, and letters of acceptance. Applications are reviewed twice a year, and successful applicants are notified of the funding decision.
