IGBIS IB Diploma Programme (DP) and IB Career-related Programme (CP) Full Academic Scholarships

As part of IGBIS’s commitment to providing highly motivated and talented students with an exceptional educational experience, IGBIS also offers full IB DP and CP Academic Scholarships to students who are proficient in English, demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, and show promise of excelling in the IB DP or IB CP programmes. The recipients of this scholarship will study at IGBIS tuition-free (and enrolment fee-free for new students) for the duration of the IB DP or IB CP programmes, which lasts for two years (Grades 11 and Grade 12).

A scholarship acceptance, specifying the conditions and duration of the scholarship, will need to be signed by the school and the parents of the selected recipients. 

The scholarship application closes on 29 February 2024.

Requirements to Qualify

  • Current IGBIS students, or recently admitted students, entering Grade 11
  • Proficient in English
  • Documented outstanding achievements in academics (examples):

           - MYP External Assessments

           - IGCSE/O Levels/SPM Results

           - Report Cards

           - Other external exams like MAP assessment 

Selection of the Recipient 

The IGBIS IB Diploma Full Academic Scholarships will be awarded to candidates as determined by the Scholarship Selection Committee, based on their academic record, performance on the school-administered assessments, and the interview with the Scholarship Selection Committee. Strong consideration will be given to those students who have consistently made positive contributions to their school community through service, action, and participation in school life. As an IB school, IGBIS will look for students who exemplify the IB Learner profile.  Candidates who do not receive the IGBIS IB DP or IB CP Full Academic Scholarship, but who demonstrate outstanding achievement, may be eligible for an IGBIS Outstanding Achievement Partial Scholarship.

Requirements to Maintain Scholarship

*All scholarships are reviewed annually.

Academic requirements: Scholarship recipients must maintain consistently high academic achievement.  A minimum GPA of 6 on the IB scale of 7 (or equivalent) must be maintained. 

Character requirements: Scholarship recipients must uphold high standards for academic honesty and character. Any violation of academic honesty expectations, school policy or the law while attending IGBIS may result in the withdrawal of the scholarship.

Financial requirements: Scholarship recipients are still required to pay all fees, including but not limited to the application fee, after-school activities fees and trip fees.

IGBIS Outstanding Achievement Partial Scholarships 

IGBIS Outstanding Achievement Partial Scholarships are available in various amounts to students who are proficient in English and demonstrate outstanding achievement in academics or a specialised area like sports, art, or music.
