The PTPTN Education Financing Scheme was established to provide more opportuinities for students to pursue higher education at local institutions. This will enable students to finance (fully or partially) the course fees and their cost of living for the duration of their study.
The PTPTN education financing facility is offered to students pursuing their studies at public (IPTA) and private (IPTS) institutions of higher education in Malaysia.
Scope of Education Financing
The scope of educaion financing according to the level of education at IPTA / IPTS / polytechnics are as follows:

*Specifically for IPTS students at UNITEN, UNITAR, Wawasan Open university, and Asia e-University only.
The amount of funding is determined based on these qualifications:

Conditions for Application
- Citizen of Malaysia;
- Does not exceed 45 years of age on the date of application;
- Have been offered a place at IPTA / IPTS or polytechnic by fullfilling entry requirements determined by MOHE and MQA;
- Course pursued must have registration approval from MOHE;
- For IPTS students, course pursued must have the Certificate of Accreditation from MQA and must be valid on the date of application;
- For a student who has other qualifications, verification must be obtained from the department or agency as stated above;
- Remaining period of study at the time of application should not be less than one year;
- Must not have an other sponsor(s); and
- Have opened an SSPN-i account
Application Procedure
- Have been offered a place at IPT prior to application
- Application can be made online at www.ptptn.gov.my
- Applcation is based on the date determined by the IPT
- Should have an individual savings account as determined by the IPT
