Eligibility Criteria

1. Malaysian students studying full-time in Sunway University/ Sunway College (KL) who are State or National Athletes (3 years prior to joining Sunway University/ Sunway College (KL) – year 2018)
2. For State Athlete(s), recognised by:
   • MSSM/ SUKMA
3. For National Athlete(s), recognised by:
   • MSN
   • National Sports Association
4. Only selected sports are eligible for Sports Scholarships:-
   • Archery
   • Athletics(track & field, javelin, long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, shot put, discus)
   • Badminton
   • Basketball
   • Bowling (tenpin)
   • Chess (International)
   • Fencing
   • Table Tennis
   • Taekwondo (WT)
   • Tennis
   • Squash
   • Swimming
5. Verification by State or National Sports Association
6. Recommendation Letter from State/ National coach
7. Shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview session
8. Awarding of the scholarship is subject to the interview

Scholarship Value

• 50% scholarship for State Athletes; or
• 100% scholarship for National Athletes

Documents Required

1. Scholarship Application Form
2. Attach the certified true copy documents in the following order:-
   • Verification document(s) from the Sports Board/ Association
   • Recommendation Letter from State/ National coach
   • SPM/STPM/ Pre-University certificate and relevant documents
   • Identity Card
   • All results obtained in college including the latest results

Application Procedure

1. Prepare the supporting documents (original and photocopy) for verification purpose
2. Submit the Scholarship Application Form along with supporting documents to Student LIFE within the stipulated deadline.
3. Scholarship selection interviews will take place in May
4. Only applicants shortlisted for an interview will be informed via a phone call followed by an e-mail by mid of April
5. Applicants that are not shortlisted will receive an e-mail communication
