The Diploma in Early Childhood Education programme at MAHSA University, prepares students who will be highly qualified early childhood professionals and practitioners, proficient in the field of early childhood education in line with the government’s aspiration of upgrading the early childhood profession. Entry Requirements
i. A pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM/SPMV) with a minimum of credits in 3 subjects


ii. A pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum of a Grade B in 3 subjects


iii. A pass in O-Levels with a minimum of a Grade C in 3 subjects


v. A pass in Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM), level 3 in a related field and a pass in SPM with a minimum of a credit in 1 subject.


vi. A pass in Level 3, MQF Certificate in a related field with a minimum of a Grade C with CGPA 2.00


vii. A pass in (STPM) or equivalent with a minimum of a Grade C with GPA 2.00 in any subject


viii. A Higher Certificate in STAM with a minimum Grade Maqbul


ix. Any other qualifications that are recognized by the University Senate or the Malaysian Government that can be benchmarked to a related field.

English Language Proficiency of International Students: Candidates should have at least an IELTS 5.0, TOEFL 500 and MUET Band 3 as an exit requirement.

ndividuals who work in the early childhood field, may work:

  • Directly with children from infancy to age six in groups or individually

  • Work with families

  • Work with other professionals

  • Work in a range of settings including family child care, licensed early childhood centres, children’s homes, and other settings.

Early childhood practitioners also work for a variety of employers such as:

  • Head Start

  • Parent Child Center or Family Center

  • Private for-profit or not-for-profit early childhood program

  • Public school system or private school

  • Community agency or organization
