Course Description

This programme is designed to cater to the high demand for skilled professional in the fields of advertising, multimedia, public relations and broadcasting.

Moreover, this diploma programme also aims to instil students with technological know-how and many invaluable skills to produce industry-centric graduates who are computer and IT-savvy, to enable them to excel in the global communications industry.

Entry Requirements

For International students, a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 OR an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 OR its equivalent is needed.

* NOTE: The requirement for credit in English subjects at SPM level for the candidate in category (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) can be waived should the qualifications contain English subject with equivalent/higher achievements’.

  • A pass in SPM or its equivalent, with a minimum of 3 credits in any subject, including English; OR
  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in any subject and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent; OR
  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent; OR
  • A pass in SKM Level 3 and pass SPM with a credit in English; OR
  • A Certificate or its equivalent and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent;
  • A Certificate in Media and Communication or its equivalent.
Career Prospects

Students who successfully complete the programme can then move on to pursue the bachelor degree programme, allowing students to pursue careers such as Public Relations Practitioner / Executive, Corporate Communication Executive, Account Management, Copywriter, Media Analyst, Journalist
