Course Description | Under UCSI University’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the MQA-approved Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Technology aims to equip science graduates with enhanced knowledge to conduct research and development for the local and global science & technology industry. Entry Requirements | Qualifications BSc in Pharmacy OR B. Pharm (Hons) degree OR equivalent undergraduate degree in related field. Academic Requirements Minimum CGPA of 2.75. Admission Level Faculty to assess before admission.
English Language Requirements Minimum IELTS of 6.0 or TOEFL 550/230/80 to be obtained before admission or achieved above 70% for English Enrichment Programme (EEP) level 10 of UCSI University. To be obtained before admission. English Language Course Exemption: Applicants who obtained Bachelor’s degrees in other universities that use English as the medium of instruction may be exempted from taking English classes at UCSI University if the alma mater’s Registrar issues an official letter indicating so to the University. Applicants may be required to attend an interview, conducted by UCSI’s faculty experts, or sit for a written test before they are accepted for admission. Prior to the interview, the applicant is also required to submit a research idea outline. | ||||||||

As a growing industry in Malaysia, the pharmaceutical industry has high potentials for earning foreign currency for the country. Master of Science Pharmaceutical Technology graduates could contribute to various pharmaceutical industry departments, encompassing (i) quality control (ii) research and development, and (iii) sales and marketing. Graduates will also develop applications on business management and entrepreneurship skills to further enhance their competitiveness in the working force.
Pharmacy is also rapidly developing in Malaysia due to the Ministry of Health’s vision to increase the pharmacy workforce ratio for the population.
