| Course Description | The field of communications and networking has enabled us to live in a more 'connected' world through the use of internet, smart phones, smart home appliances, social networking as well as other various communication devices and applications. All of us rely on some aspects of communications and networking everyday in our study, work, entertainment, etc. This programme aims to develop students to be competent in design, development and implementation of communications and networking systems. the programme emphasises laboratory sessions that expose students with the current industrial and commercial networking standards and practices. The programme also introduces the latest network technologies and future trends such as server management and administration, wireless and mobile networking, multimedia and real-time transmission, embedded networking devices, wireless and network security, and network programming. This will provide a strong foundation for graduates to further their studies and/or engage in research and development activities in their future careers. In addition, the program will equip students for their professional networking certifications such as Cisco Certified network Associate (CCNA) and Huawei Certified Datacom Associate (HCDA). |
