New Edge of Teaching and Learning
In order to enhance the teaching and learning of its students, various initiatives in the holistic use of technology in learning have been put in place. Learning at the University is transformed by providing unique and permanent module sites on the Learning Management System (LMS) to create a more interactive learning objects and engaging contents for our students.
To promote self-directed and personalized learning, all 22 lecture theaters are equipped with lecture capture system where lectures are recorded automatically and made available to students digitally to allow them to view the recording of the lecture anytime, anywhere.
Classrooms too are being transformed into X-Space, the technology-rich collaborative classroom that is purposefully designed to facilitate a diverse learning experience in a highly collaborative, more engaging and 'noisy' manner.
In addition to this, Taylor's has recently introduced SHINE Award. Taking holistic learning to the next level, the SHINE Award provides recognition for students' extra-curricular involvement both on and off campus through a second transcript. Taylor's University is the first university to introduce this second transcript which is acknowledged by a number of notable employers.
