With over 60 years of history in providing quality education and a growing global presence, excellence is indeed a tradition at Manipal International University (MIU). A member of the Manipal Global Education Group, the Manipal Education Group has emerged as a leading higher education provider not just in India but across its global campuses in Malaysia, Nepal, Dubai and Antigua, which collectively enrols over 25,000 students from 52 countries.

Programmes and specialisations offered at MIU are in line with fields that are in demand by local and regional industries. MIU offers 12 specialisations in Science and Engineering, and six in Management and Business. MIU was recently awarded a partner for the Industry Centre of Excellence in Biotechnology by the Ministry of Education Malaysia. An education at MIU prepares students with both academic knowledge and the soft skills needed to secure a good job and succeed in the working world. The curriculum is founded on theoretical knowledge and practical applications. Members of faculty at MIU have both academic and industrial experience; they guide students within a holistic learning environment and groom graduates to be industry-ready.

Bridging students to global universities

MIU offers a vibrant international study environment. Students get to network with peers from different parts of the world. With nine academic partners from Australia, the UK and the USA, students can option for a credit transfer to participating universities in the last two or four semesters.

State-of-the-art campus with convenient access and connectivity

MIU is located on a green 142-acre hillside in the university town of Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. Enveloped by a picturesque lake, it is just 45km south of the Kuala Lumpur city centre and 20km from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Showcasing innovation in green technology

MIU is highly committed to building a campus based on the best green building technology and has registered to comply with the United States Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum green building index. This forms part of MIU’s endeavour to promote technology and innovation and foster socially responsible corporate citizens. The green building technology adopted in the development covers energy efficiency, water efficiency, waste management and site ecology; the university is slated to be the first green university in South East Asia.

What makes us special?

Financial assistance

MIU rewards education excellence and is investing over RM2.6 million in scholarships. This includes up to 100% scholarship for foundation programmes and multiple waivers off tuition fees based on SPM results. MIU also offers study grants for degree programmes based on STPM, A-Levels or equivalent examinations.  Details and application form can be downloaded from MIU’s website.
