Background

Saito University College is an award-winning 30-year-old education institution founded by Mr. Tetsuo Saito with its roots deep in design-based courses but has over the past decade diversified into security, law enforcement, business, hospitality, culinary arts, logistics, education and languages programmes.

1988
Founded by Tetsuo Saito. Initially known as Saito Academy of Graphic Design – Malaysia’s FIRST Diploma in Graphic Design programme.

1996
Launched a new programme – Diploma in Interior Design. Campus moved to larger facility at No. 2 and 4, Jalan 52/18, PJ New Town.

2002
Launched 3rd Design programme – Diploma in Multimedia Design.

2008
Launched the Diploma in Security Management programme. The beginning of Saito Security Academy.

2010
Moved into current PJ campus to cater to growing number of students. Won the Prime Minister Corporate Social Responsibility Award.

2011
Saito student population reached 1,000 students. Won NAPEI Excellence Award, Medium-sized College. Awarded a Certificate of Merit by The Star Outstanding Business Award.

2012
Launched another new Design programme – Diploma in Fashion Design. Launched the Diploma in Human Resource Management programme. The beginning of a new school – Saito Business School.Saito students made their mark in the MALAYSIA BOOK OF RECORDS for the biggest 3D Painting on canvas for Nestle Malaysia’s 100th Anniversary.

2013
Won NAPEI Excellence Award, Large-scale College. Awarded 6-stars (Outstanding) MyQuest rating in the ‘Science, Mathematics and Computing’ cluster by the Ministry of Higher Education. Launched new programme in Saito Security Academy – Diploma in Law Enforcement Administration.

2014
Won NAPEI Excellence Award, Large-scale College. Awarded 6-stars (Outstanding) MyQuest rating in the ‘Science, Mathematics and Computing’ cluster by the Ministry of Higher Education. Launched new programme in Saito Security Academy – Diploma in Law Enforcement Administration.

2015
Awarded IQNet & SIRIM QAS International (ISO 9001:2008) • Design & Development of Education Programmes • Provision of Education Services at Certificate of Diploma Levels • Provision of Related Support Services (Excluding Transportation & Accommodation) Launched new programme in Saito Business School – Diploma in Business Management.

2017
Upgraded to Saito University College. Awarded 6-stars (Outstanding) MyQuest rating in the ‘Arts & Humanities’ cluster and the ‘Services’ cluster by the Ministry of Higher Education. Launched Degree courses – Bachelor of Human Resources Management (Hons) & Bachelor of Arts in Law Enforcement (Investigation) (Hons).
