The Malaysian Association of Private Colleges and Universities (MAPCU) held its pre-event launch of the 8th MAPCU Higher Education Fair 2011 on 11 November 2010 at KBU International College, Petaling Jaya.

The 8th MAPCU Higher Education Fair 2011 will be held at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, KL, on 22 & 23 January 2011 from 11am ? 6pm.

Like the previous year, the theme for the coming fair is ?Seeking Quality Education, Choose MAPCU Higher Education Fair.?

?MAPCU places utmost importance on the quality of education delivered by higher education institutions in producing quality human capital for the nation. This fair is an excellent platform for MAPCU members and non-members to showcase their quality programmes to the students and their parents,? said Dr Mei Ling Young. When it comes to choosing the right institution, Dr Mei Ling Young advised students and parents to go for institutions that are approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and pick courses that are accredited by MQA. In addition, other criteria to consider are internationally recognised qualifications, first-class facilities and lecturers and the track record of the institution in producing employable graduates.

MAPCU has been organising this education fair since 2004 as part of its obligation to educate the public, particularly school leavers, on the types of courses available.

At press time, there are 116 booths taken up by 41 exhibitors.
