JPA Scholarships 2018

If you’re a SPM 2017 candidate, you might want to check out the scholarships offered by Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia (JPA) or the Public Services Department Malaysia this year.
Special Programme for Japan, Korea, France and Germany (JKPJ) 2018
Applications are open to candidates who sat for SPM in 2017. This special programme offers a sponsorship in the form of a convertible loan (Pinjaman Boleh Ubah) to students interested in pursuing engineering, science and technology (S & T), or social science in these countries—Japan, Korea, France or Germany. Successful candidates will receive sponsorship to undergo a preparatory programme before pursuing their first degree or diploma in the countries mentioned.
General Entry Requirements
Applicants must be:
- Malaysian citizens
- SPM 2017 candidates (first attempt)
- below 18 years (19 years for remove stream) at the time they sat for SPM in 2017
- in good health
The parents of the applicants or other family members must not be blacklisted by or facing legal action from JPA. In addition, the candidate must not be in receipt of any form of financial assistance or sponsorship from any other agency for the same level of study.

2018 9A+ Sponsorship Programme
Also known as Program Penajaan 9A+ Tahun 2018, this sponsorship is open to SPM 2017 candidates who scored A+ in at least nine subjects. Successful candidates will be offered a sponsorship in the form of a convertible loan (Pinjaman Boleh Ubah) to pursue a pre-university programme and a first degree at a university in Malaysia.
General Entry Requirements
Applicants must be Malaysian citizens. The parents of the applicants or other family members must not be blacklisted by or facing legal action from JPA. In addition, the candidate must not be in receipt of any form of financial assistance or sponsorship from any other agency for the same level of study.
Candidates who wish to pursue the fields of medicine, dentistry or pharmacy must be in excellent health condition.
Special Requirements
Applicants must be SPM 2017 candidates (first attempt) including candidates from special schools, private schools and private candidates. They must have an A+ grade in at least nine subjects and must be below 18 years (19 years for remove stream) as at 31 Dec in the year they sat for SPM.
Candidates must have secured an offer from an approved university and commenced pre-university studies before or on 31 December 2018.

- Asasi Universiti Awam (UA) (E.g. Asasi UIAM; Asasi Sains UM; Asasi UNIMAS; Asasi UMS; Asasi UniSZA; Asasi Pengajian Islam UM; Tahmidi USIM; Asasi UKM; etc.)
- Program ASASIpintar, Pusat PERMATApintar Negara

- Foundation programme
- A-Levels
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme
- AUSMAT
